Nicole |Nikki|: The Owner
Hello! my name is Nicole |Nikki| and I am the owner of Mia-Monroe.com.
I currently live in Illinois with my daughter, Mia, and my husband. Although I have always loved art, and have always been an active participant in the classes, I never would have thought I could make a living out of it! I began college as a medical student at Loyola University of Chicago and was determined to finish. After I had my daughter, about a year and a half into college, I began making items on the side. I loved being creative again, and once orders began to come in, I couldn't see myself NOT having a job that allowed my passion to prosper. From there, I took time off of school since my head was just not in it anymore. I realized that I CAN make a living by doing what I love, and not what I thought was most stable.
Since then, the shop has been growing and growing! I still cannot believe it, but I make just as much as any "regular" job would, and I cannot be happier. I'm glad I made the decision to follow my heart and do what I love, in the end. Now I have amazing customers and so many ideas and dreams for my shop. It is no where near easy, but I wouldn't trade any of it.
I hope, to not only send out beautiful items for people to love and cherish, but I also hope to inspire everyone who has a passion for something. No matter what it is, you should always give it a shot. If it works out, amazing! If it doesn't, at least you can rest easy and say you tried. From starting a business to graduating college, whatever it may be, go for your dreams!
What sets my shop apart from the rest:
Everything in my shop is handmade and custom to you! I provide you with items you cannot find anywhere else, and that you can cherish forever. I delicately make each item with my two hands and my heart, hoping you love them, as well! Being a custom shop does not allow me to mass produce or manufacture any of my items, and although this can make things a bit more difficult, it also makes each item so much more special. You will have an item that is unlike any other, and that YOU helped create by customizing it. How awesome is that!?

Mia Makena: My Inspiration
My daughter, Mia, is a super sassy little girl who turned my world upside down! She loves all things pink and sparkly, puzzles, and of course ponies. You will see a ton of pictures of her in my shop, she's my little model.
Enrique: My Husband
Enrique and I got married May 4th, 2013. He has been my main supporter throughout everything, and i wouldn't change him for the world. Without his business mindset and abilities, the shop would not be what it is today. He constantly gives a business perspective to a creative mind.
